Last week, The Foges and I joined several other esteemed journalists and photographers as a guest of Tony Quinn to check out his latest venture – Highlands Motorsport Park.
Located a minute or so out of Cromwell on the South Island of New Zealand, it is a sight to behold.
The level of craftsmanship and passion put into this project is phenomenal.
And its fair to say that, even though we enjoyed Otago Pinot Gris / Noir, Bluff Oysters, a wonderful dinner at Botswana Butchery, along with an array of vehicles we were let loose in around the 4.8km track, everyone was blown away.
Plus, TQ & Co. have the only McLaren MP4-12 GT3 in the...
Well all I can say is; he better not drop the damn camera!
What a great day we’ve had at the B12H so far. It’s now six-and-a-half hours in, and despite the thunderstorm & heavy rain last night and the oh-so-early start this morning, the day has been a cracker up-to-now.
For those of you unaware, here at the Bathurst 12 Hour, we have an interesting scenario for a “race within the race.”
This is because the first 50 minutes of the B12H is also the First Round of the Australian GT Championship.

The master of the 11th hour sponsorship deal has done it again! Yep, Jack Elsegood announced late yesterday that with the support of Hustler Turf Equipment, he will be on the track at the Gold Coast 600 this weekend.

So, what do you do on a beautiful Sunday in Queensland when you don’t have to play taxi for the daughters?

Radio HOTLAP is available free on the Apple iTunes Music Store, as a podcast.
Our World Headquarters are located in a rather nice part of Adelaide, where regular production takes place. Unless we're somewhere else, which is often the case.
If you ask nicely, you may be allowed to be part of our live audience.
Beyond Episode 200
There comes a time, in this case after six years, with over 240 episodes recorded in 10 different countries, 300+ guests and 220 continuous hours of recording, that we feel its time to go commercial. With over 55,000 viewers, since March 2011, we get some serious exposure. So we thought a magazine to fill in the gaps would be nice.
A Word of Warning
Our firm policy that we don't edit a show once its recorded is because it detracts from its natural conversational character in the first place. Commercial partners and alliances will have to adhere to policy and whilst we'll do the best to accommodate you and make you feel loved you have no control of how we do things. Just so we're clear on that :)
