Hello viewers, it’s Duncan Donuts here, but since I don’t know much about all this Inter-Web posting site bloggo business, JP is ghosting for me!
So, look out, viewers, because the BBQ Festival is coming to a place near YOU. (Well, as long as you’re an Aussie, anyway).
Whilst Harty & JP were busy over at Bathurst, it was left to me to cover the inaugural Gourmet BBQ Festival. Sponsored by Redheads, who are famous for their matches, but also make a range of BBQ charcoal, a gas match, firelighters & fire logs, the event took place in the Adelaide Parklands on the weekend of the the 6th & 7th October.
You may or may not know, but I’m in the process of refurbishing a 1992 EB XR8S. As these aren’t exactly classed as classics yet so parts can be hard to find.
So the solution? Go Green and use recycled parts of course. I have a favorite wrecker that I always use, Self Serve at...
Stumbled across an excellent Barbecue, Grilling and Cooking aid the other day.
Don’t know where it’s been hiding – the Australian Distributor can’t have been pushing it very hard, as it’s been around for over 12 months…

World Barbecue Championship
When I first met Harty, waaaaayy back in 1997, we were both on an Apple junket to the Seybold Publishing Conference in San Francisco (including a visit to Apple HQ in Cupertino, natch).

Back in Adelaide on a 30 degree afternoon, after a very pleasant 10 day break in Queensland (despite a few rather wet days), got me thinking about the seafood feast we cooked on the Barbecue at our Apartment in Noosaville this time last week.

Radio HOTLAP is available free on the Apple iTunes Music Store, as a podcast.
Our World Headquarters are located in a rather nice part of Adelaide, where regular production takes place. Unless we're somewhere else, which is often the case.
If you ask nicely, you may be allowed to be part of our live audience.
Beyond Episode 200
There comes a time, in this case after six years, with over 240 episodes recorded in 10 different countries, 300+ guests and 220 continuous hours of recording, that we feel its time to go commercial. With over 55,000 viewers, since March 2011, we get some serious exposure. So we thought a magazine to fill in the gaps would be nice.
A Word of Warning
Our firm policy that we don't edit a show once its recorded is because it detracts from its natural conversational character in the first place. Commercial partners and alliances will have to adhere to policy and whilst we'll do the best to accommodate you and make you feel loved you have no control of how we do things. Just so we're clear on that :)
