Through George’s Eyes

Despite the fact that he ignored all flight staff to turn off his electronic gadgets* on takeoff and landing, George Miedecke acquitted himself rather well at both the inaugural Dunlop V8 Supercar Series and his own Supercar debut, right here in gorgeous Adelaide. I watched him closely, along with Marcus Zukanovic, from the luxurious confines of the Reo Beam corporate shindig, just past the Senna Chicane, on the inside part of the circuit, where The Parklands meets Wakefield Road. And from what I observed, he was very much on the pace, banging Senna properly, settling, then driving on through the left hander. Clearly, dampers have been the most developed component since we last Clipsal’d. Almost as good as the Focus RS – just ask George!

Clever bit of video promotion, not to be missed, showing off the new Contour Roam HD camera. One up on Go Pro! Nice use of Copperplate font.

JP caught up with GM the other day and was surprised to hear something few race car drivers ever say…

* It wasn’t George at all, it was his Dad, Andrew**

** Not him either –  Andrew has is own plane and no one tells him what to do on TO & L! Will find guilty party, but may take time…
